My wife and myself had the privilege of experiencing one of those unforgettable gastronomic moments that leave a lasting impression. Nestled in the heart of Georgetown, Xiquet by Dani Lledo welcomed us on a sensory journey far beyond the bounds of a traditional dinner. With a well-deserved Michelin star that celebrates not only excellence but authenticity, every dish we tasted told a story, a tribute to Dani’s childhood in Denia, to the flavors of the Mediterranean, and to the warmth of time spent with family and friends. The cuisine at Xiquet does not aim to dazzle with theatrics, but rather to move and inspire through delicate textures, expressive ingredients, and presentations that narrate a culinary tale. The rice dishes are soulful, the seafood evokes the true taste of the sea, and the balance of tradition and creativity is masterfully executed. Complementing the meal was flawless service, a genuine sense of hospitality that made us feel truly at home, and a perfectly curated wine pairing that enhanced every note of the tasting menu. All this in an intimate, elegant setting that transported us to the Mediterranean, without ever leaving the vibrant city of Washington, DC. Our heartfelt thanks to Dani Lledo and the entire team at Xiquet for offering not just a dinner, but a deeply personal and emotional experience. We will certainly return.

The chef's tasting at Xiquet is next level. Chef Danny Lledo brings together local ingredients with Spanish recipes to create dish after dish that you will enjoy. The playing cards with a description of each dish is a nice touch to help you remember each amazing dish. The staff is extremely welcoming and wildly deserving of the Michelin Star! You definitely need reservations for this one of a kind experience.

The perfect place to celebrate a special occasion with friends or a significant other! I visited Xiquet with two close friends to celebrate two of our December birthdays. As we began walking up the steps to the third-floor dining room, Chef Danny was waiting promptly to greet us. We were then led over towards the open kitchen area and immediately welcomed with a small bite and a house "sip"--such a nice way to begin our dining experience and we knew right away we were in for a treat. After being escorted to our table, the amazing service continued. As each course was presented, we received a card with detailed descriptions of the food being set before us. While every single bite was exquisite, but my favorite of the night was a play on a "partridge in a pear tree"--it was delicate and festive and an absolute delight. We also enjoyed wine pairings with every course, which were presented by the very knowledgeable sommelier (Xiquet has won many awards for their wine program!) For the final course, we were led down to the second-floor lounge, which as exclusive as the dining room feels, the lounge gives off true VIP status. We received a variety of sweets and ordered a night cap, which we were able to enjoy leisurely, with no kind of pressure to "move along". Everything from the food, the service and the space was the perfect for the making of a special evening, while not feeling "stuck up". Make this your next stop for date night (or just a fun night out with friends)!

I came here with my girlfriend to celebrate both of our birthdays - Chef’s tasting. We were seated next to the kitchen where we can see all the activity through the glass - always cool to see. Food was fantastic. Light and delicate. The pork Wellington was little heavy after the delicate series of dishes. Paella and sea food - scallop and sea bass - dishes were savory and aromatic - wished for more! The service was little static - the young man who was describing each dish and wine pairing seemed to be pressured and repeating what he had memorized about each plate. Overall, great experience. The Chef personally greet you in the beginning and at the end. Also very nice touch.

Chef Danny Lledo is doing some amazing work at Xiquet in DC. Went for a memorable Thanksgiving meal which we will for sure be talking about for years to come. The atmosphere is very down to earth. Its not super flashy but quite welcoming, like you are coming over for a special meal with friends. The restaurant has 3 levels. Main floor is where they will greet you, 2nd floor is the lounge/bar and finally the top floor is the dining room and kitchen. The view from the dining room is very scenic considering you are in DC(overlooking part of Georgetown's campus, softball field is literally across the street). The meal itself was fabulous. They had no problems adjusting to my wife's cranberry allergy which was greatly appreciated. We will never stop talking about the iberico pork that my kiddo devoured half of. Although our table favorites weren't even part of the main feast. My personal favorite was the blue crab paella. The best paella i have ever had with so much crab flavor, it just echoed throughout the dish. My wife and kid leaned more into our opening dish which was a crispy egg white with crunchy Jamon on top. As far as the main course, I already mentioned the pork however there wasnt a loser in this bunch. Chef came and spoke with us at this time and said if we wanted more of anything to just let them know. If we weren't about to burst we 100% would have been asking for more pork and biscuits. Everything was extremely tasty including the wine pairing which perfectly complimented every dish. If the excellent food wasnt enough, the service was also next level. The staff was very friendly and will literally escort you to the bathroom, in a "please show them where the bathroom is" kinda way. Like I said, like you are at your friend's new place. To close the meal, you spend time in the lounge with cocktail (if you choose) along with a box of hidden gems. Think of them as one bite desserts. The box itself, is pretty cool as it has multiple compartments where the little snacks are held. As if this place couldn't be more personable, we were sent home with special almond candies and a wax sealed letter that was signed by the chef. Thanking us for choosing them for this holiday. We will definitely be back for another meal at Xiquet. This place knows how to make their guests feel special.

Dining at Xiquet feels like a trip to Valencia totally worth every penny. The elegant atmosphere, impeccable service, and cuisine that honors tradition with modern touches made for an unforgettable experience. We enjoyed an extraordinary paella prepared in two different styles - truly unique. We also tried the premium wine pairing, which was impressive, especially with each wine introduced by knowledgeable experts. Perfect for a special occasion or simply to enjoy high-end Spanish cuisine.

Wow. Just wow. I went for a friend's birthday and I was blown out of the water. He planned it, so I knew nothing before going in, but it truly is an experience. It was 110% worth it, and the chef was exquisite, the servers are truly top of class and the food was to die for! This is one of my top 5 meals of all time! You must go!
